Alberta Association of Agricultural Societies Grant: this annual grant works to leverage the meaningful work happening within community agricultural societies.
Alberta Blue Cross Community Wellbeing Grant provides 50 awards of $1,000 each to organizations that promote health and wellbeing in their communities. This program suppots the physical, mental, and social wellbeing of all Albertans.
Alberta Blue Cross Built Together healthy communities grant program was created to help Albertans build spaces for active living in their community. Recipients receive a one time $50,000 grant to fund an infrastructure project in their community.
ATCO Community Energy Fund was established to help municipalities, schools, non-for-profits, and registered charities pursue solutions, opportunities, and supporting education towards a more sustainable, net zero future. Each year ATCO will be giving a grant to organizations and programs within the ATCO Gas or ATCO Electric service area in Alberta for community energy projects. If your organization is eligible, you can apply to receive one-time funding of up to $15,000 to help with your projects or programs, large and small.
Canada Post Community Foundation: provides grants to Canadian schools, charities and community organizations that make a difference in the lives of children and youth (up to age 21). Since 2012, the Community Foundation has granted $13.5 million to 1,100 projects across Canada.
Canada Post Tales of Triumph Contest: this contest will enable 5 small businesses to win $150,000 worth in prizes of Canada Post Services, local media exposure and personalized support.
Canadian Tire Jumpstart Program: this program has two funding streams: Program Support and Operational Support. Grants must help organizations develop or sustain sports and recreation programming for kids between the ages of 4-18 in financial need or youth with disabilities between the ages of 4-25.
CIRA Net Good Grant: the Canadian Internet Registration Authority (CIRA) provides funding every year to support communities, projects, and policies that make Canada's internet better for everyone. CIRA's Net Good Grants empower organizations to doe the critical work that connects underserved communities.
Clean Energy Community Fund: ATCO is committed to meeting the needs of a new and exciting energy future, which is why we have established the Clean Energy Community Fund to help municipalities, schools, not-for-profits, and registered charities pursue solutions, opportunities, and supporting education towards a more sustainable, net zero future.
Communities ChooseWell Healthy Community Grant: this program encourages and supports communities to enhance health and wellbeing by creating local conditions such as programs, policies, places and partnerships that enable Albertans to eat well and be active. Every year, Communities ChooseWell offers a Healthy Community Grant to help support our ChooseWell Champions in developing an environment where healthy choices are easier, accessible to everyone, and sustainable.
Co-op Community Spaces: developed to help protect, beautify and improve spaces across Western Canada.
Desjardins Small Business Grant: program to bolster small businesses across Canada. For the program's latest iteration, Desjardin will allocate $3 million in grants to 150 small businesses nationwide.
Farm Credit Canada (FCC) AgriSpirit Fund: supports projects in communities of less than 150,000 people by charities, non-profit groups, and First Nations, Inuit or Métis governments/communities. Eligible projects include: projects to support food recovery or reduction of food waste, initiatives that support agriculture and food, projects that reduce your environmental footprint, projects that improve accessibility and inclusion, construction of or upgrades to community buildings.
Fortis Alberta Community Investment: provides sponsorship and grant funding for community projects that align with their priorities of safety, education, environment or wellness.
MCSNet Community Connections Program: complimentary/discounted internet and funding to local non-profits, charities, and events.
Sport, Physical Activity and Recreation Return to Play Grant: Designed to provide financial support to organizations that will facilitate Alberta's youth (18 and under), families and individuals with disabilities' return to being physically active in their communities.
TC Energy Build Strong Program: invests in organizations that are vital to our communities and crucial for our business. Build Strong donates to non-profits, registered charities, associations, municipalities, Indigenous groups and foundations that: equip first responders with the resources they need to keep our communities safe; improve access to education for future energy problem solvers; protect and enhance the environment for today and tomorrow; and mitigate barriers to well-being in our communities.
TD Bank Community Funding: offering Corporate Donations and Sponsorships for community-based projects and events that are aligned with the TD Ready Commitment. The TD FEF Grant supports grassroots environmental initiatives focusing on green spaces. The TD Ready Challenge supports organizations developing innovative solutions for a changing world.
TELUS #StandWithOwners: a chance for businesses and non-profits to win $200,000 in prizing.
Tourism Investment Program: apply for tourism funding to turn your dream into reality. Funding options include: growth, innovation, and incubator. New entrepreneurs can purchase the things they need to get started in tourism, such as equipment or programming development.
UFA Rural Communities Foundation: The foundation is committed to giving $500,000 over five years to rural Alberta to improve the sustainability of farmers and ranchers in Alberta. Communities are encouraged to apply for projects that enrich education, recreation and culture.
