The Land and Property Rights Tribunal (formerly Municipal Government Board) provides the presiding officer for the Composite Assessment Review Board (CARB) hearings. CARBs hear all property assessment complaints except for:

• residential properties with 3 or fewer dwelling units
• farm land

Family and Community Support Services (FCSS) is a unique 80/20 funding partnership between the Government of Alberta and participating municipalities or Métis Settlements. Provincially, the FCSS Program receives its mandate from the Family and Community Support Services Act and Regulation. FCSS provides preventative resources, programs, and services that enhance the social well-being of individuals and families through promotion or intervention strategies provided at the earliest opportunity.

The Local Assessment Review Board (LARB) hear complaints for residential property with:

• 3 or fewer dwelling units
• farmland
• a tax notice other than a property tax notice

The Subdivision and Development Appeal Board (SDAB) hears appeals regarding decisions made by the County's Subdivision Authority and Development Authority in accordance with the Municipal Government Act. The SDAB makes decisions regarding appeals based on evidence presented during a public hearing. 

The SDAB consists of five members appointed annually by the resolution of County Council. The members are appointed from the public-at-large and must be residents of the County.
